A place where kids are unconditionally loved, cared for, believed in, and accepted.
We know that Sunday mornings can be a little crazy when you have kids, especially if you're checking out a new church. We've created a list of what to expect when you show up to SFPC so that you can be a little bit more prepared for the chaos.
You can check-in students in the KidZone (upstairs) anytime after 9:15
Please head upstairs promptly after service to check-out students so they can join you for the fellowship time after worship.
First Time Guests
If your students are joining us for KidzChurch for the first time we will need to get some information from you when you arrive. We will ask for your students name & birthdate, if they have any food allergies, parents names, address, email address, and a cell phone number that is reachable during service. If at any point we need to get a hold of you we will text you from the KidzChurch phone.
What happens at KidzChurch
The time we have with your students in broken up into two main sections.
Hang out time
From 9:15-9:40 we have a relaxed hang out time with kids. We have games available and various toys and activities for students to explore in the room. The KidZone is designed to be a place where kidz can be physically active.
From 10:00-10:15 our SFPCkidz leader will do an age appropriate lesson with your students. We are working through the stories in the "My First Message" kidz bible. Lessons usually include reading the bible story, talking a little bit, and then a game or activity that connects with the story.
When we're done with the lesson we pray and then play games until parents arrive to check-out students.
You will find a SFPCkidz leader at the info table outside the Worship Center that will check your students in. Students will attend the first part of worship with you, and will be gathered by a leader during the final song before the sermon.
SFPCkidz leaders will bring all the students downstairs during the final worship song. Please check-out your student promptly after service and then continue to fellowship.

During the final worship song before the sermon an SFPCkidz leader will go around and let parents know it's time for KidzChurch. Students can meet the leader in the back of the room, we will double check that all students are checked-in, and we will head upstairs to the KidZone Hangout.
During our time upstairs we will play a quick gathering game to get the rest of our wiggles out and have our Bible lesson & Activity time. When the adult service is closing we will clean up and travel back downstairs to be ready for parents to check-out their students after worship.
[Q] What if there is an emergency?
The lead teacher each week carries their cell phone in case of emergencies.
For serious medical emergencies our policy is to call 911 first and send a leader to get the parents immediately.
[Q] What if I want to keep my child with me during service?
[A] During 9:30 worship we have activity packs available for kids who are staying with you. The service is live streamed into the Fellowship Hall if you need to leave the Sanctuary. During 11:00 worship there is a toddler room with some toys and a diaper changing area available for nursing mothers or wiggly babies.
[Q] How long should I wait before my student comes to KidzChurch
after being sick?
[A] If your child has been sick in the last 48 hours please keep your child in service with you. If they have had a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or a cough please make sure they are 48 hours symptom free before attending an SFPCkidz event.
