Dear Church Family, In this Stewardship season, we have...
Second Sunday Sitdown
Second Sunday Sitdown
Every month on the second Sunday, for about 15-30 minutes immediately after worship, we’ll cover a topic to help keep you informed about what’s happening at Salem.
This month we’ll be talking about stewardship!
If there is one thing I’ve learned about this community, it’s that we don’t just walk together, we run. But as we kick off our stewardship season, you might be hearing a specific phrase echoed around the halls: The Race to 160. Maybe you’ve wondered, “Is this a literal race? Do I need sneakers? And why 160?”
To clear the air and open our hearts, we are hosting a Second Sunday Sit- Down immediately following the service. This is a space for us to gather, grab a second (or third) cup of coffee, and have a real conversation about where Salem First is headed.
What is the Sit-Down?
This isn’t a formal board meeting or a dry presentation. Think of it as a living room conversation. Our Administration and Stewardship Teams will be there to pull back the curtain on our goals and the vision behind our current initiatives.
We’ll be diving into:
- The “Why” Behind the Number: What “160” actually represents for our mission and our future.
- The Heart of Stewardship: How our collective resources turn the “What If” questions into “Thank God” moments.
- Open Q&A: No question is too small or too “businessy.” If it’s on your heart, we want to hear it.
This Sit-Down is an opportunity for us to be “still and present” with one another while we plan for the abundance God has in store for us.
We are stewards not just of money, but of a legacy. We want to make sure the “true community” we’ve found here is fortified and fueled for the long run.
