Devotional: A Note of Gratitude to Our Church Family
As we step from Thanksgiving into Advent, we want to pause and acknowledge how deeply grateful we are for this congregation. It’s easy to move quickly into the next season, but before we do, we want to say clearly:
Thank you. Truly.
Thank you to those who show up early, stay late, and offer your time in ways most people never see. Thank you to the volunteers who read, sing, run sound, greet at the doors, set out cookies, check on kids, and help create worship that feels warm and welcoming. Thank you to the people who write cards, make meals, visit one another, give rides, offer prayers, share ideas, and build relationships that make this place feel like home. Thank you for the small acts of kindness, the quiet generosity, and the steady presence you bring week after week. This church is more than programs, it’s people. And every one of you contributes something that helps our community look a little more like love in action. As we enter Advent, we carry this gratitude with us. We are thankful for all you do, all you give, and all the ways you show up for God, for each other, and for our city.
We see you. We appreciate you. And we are so grateful to do this work together.
