  • Del burnett | lead pastor

    Del has been the lead pastor at Salem First since 2009, after previously pastoring churches in California and Alaska. His education includes degrees from Azusa Pacific University, Fuller Theological Seminary, McCormick Theological Seminary, and Jesuit School of Theology/Santa Clara University. Del and his wife, Donna, who is a middle school counselor, have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and two beautiful grandkids. He has a passion for congregational transformation, discovering new ways to relate faith in the timeless claims of the gospel to our ever-changing culture, and helping others embody God's extraordinary love. He is passionate about preaching, teaching, spiritual discernment & direction, and making sure life is filled with laughter. When he's not at work, you can find Del riding his motorcycle, wine tasting with friends and family, backpacking, beach combing, or reading. 

  • karen renner | Associate pastor

    Karen studied at Whitworth University and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She is a passionate Seahawks and Mariners fan and also loves Oregon Pinot Noir, all kinds of music, her very first cup of coffee each morning, and a really good book that she can't put down. Her favorite parts of her job are being with people in some of the most holy and sacred moments of their lives, and talking about Jesus. Karen is always on the lookout for God and a good conversation. 

  • sarah page | Pastoral Assistant

    Sarah has been at Salem First since the fall of 2013. She has an M.Div from George Fox Evangelical Seminary and an MAT from Willamette University. As the Pastoral Assistant, she gets to do a little bit of everything. She loves facilitating spiritual growth and deepening relationships. Sarah is married, with two grown kids, two grandchildren, three cats, and two dogs. She loves Sunday Night Football, a good mocha, and discovering the unending mysteries of God. 

  • Andy Wilson | Worship Arts

    Andy studied music at Willamette University and Central Washington University and holds master's degrees in teaching and choral conducting. He appreciates leading both worship service styles because it allows him to worship in a more complete way. He enjoys the emotional and experiential parts of Sunday@Eleven, as well as the more intellectual and academic aspects of the Classic worship service. When Andy isn't preparing music for church, he spends his time singing with the Willamette Master Chorus, cooking for and enjoying wine with friends, camping during spring and summer, and watching the Blazers and Ducks, his favorite sports teams.  

  • Ashley Gruber | Media & Technology

    Ashley has been at Salem First since 2010 and has a passion for bringing excitement to everything she does. With a talent for leading others to spiritual growth through adventure, she works at various camps facilitating challenge courses and family retreats. In her free time, Ashley can be found out in nature hunting wild waterfalls, exploring as many hidden places as she can find, and generally being awesome as she goofs around with her friends. 

  • Rob Thrasher | Youth & IMpact Ministry

    Rob has served in various positions during his time at Salem First. His passion is to change the world with love and kindness, and he is able to regularly pursue this through his work. Rob has a degree from Multnomah University and is ordained as a pastor by the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Rob and his wife, Carolyne, have two kids and enjoy hiking, engaging in conversations, and spending time together around a campfire. He also loves loud guitars and good books. 

  • Audrey Harman | Administration

    Audrey has been a part of the Salem First staff since 2007. She loves people and enjoys getting to work doing something she loves. Audrey was raised in California and was a championship dancer when she was younger. She is a Nevada Wolfpack fan, loves movies and Disney stuff. Married since 1987, she has two daughters and a son-in-law, and is looking to adopt a new fish. 

  • Maureen Zemanek | Office/weddings

    maureen@salemfpc.org

    Maureen started working at the church in 1990. She married her high school sweetheart, raised three children, delights in her nine "perfect" grandchildren, and regularly walks with a group of friends who call themselves the "slugs". When Maureen isn't working, you can find her camping, reading, knitting, or on the beach with her friends or family. 

  • Sharon Klocksieben | Hospitality

    Sharon is a longtime member of Salem First and has been using her amazing skills in the kitchen to serve since 1996. She has a degree from California State University and is a U.S. Navy Veteran. Sharon has five special grandkids that she takes joy in spending time with. In her quiet moments, Sharon may be found enjoying a good book and/or chocolate, preferably together. She also thinks the color burgundy is quite swell.
